Shri Praveen Agadi was born on January 1, 1975, to Annapurna and Sharanappa Agadi. He completed his MBA degree in 1999 from Kousali Institute of Management Studies, Karnatak University, Dharwad.
In 1999, along with his younger brothers Kiran and Arun Agadi, he entered entrepreneurship by becoming a distributor of Samsung colour televisions and appliances for eight districts of North Karnataka. He later added well-known brands such as Philips Audio, Onida, and Whirlpool, and in 2003 he ventured into the telecom business with Nokia.
In 2004, he entered the automobile sector as a Hero Honda dealer in Belagavi and subsequently expanded the automobile business by acquiring a Hyundai dealership. He further established a Honda two-wheelers dealership in Hubballi, a Renault car dealership for five districts of North-West Karnataka, and a Kia Motors dealership, and also entered agricultural commodities trading. In 2017, he started a pulses processing and flour production unit in Tarihal Industrial Area.
With the establishment of Hero MotoCorp operations in Goa, he has generated employment for around 900 people across 37 locations in North Karnataka, Maharashtra, and Goa.
He has visited 51 countries—from Antarctica to Zealandia (8 continents)—to expand his business knowledge, understand global markets, and adopt best practices into his enterprises.
He has served actively in several social organisations, including as Honorary Secretary of the Hubballi-Dharwad Automobile Dealers Association, and currently serves as Vice President for the term 2023–25. He has also been an active member of the governing bodies of Round Table and TiE Hubballi.
Trekking and adventure sports are among his hobbies. In 2012, he successfully completed the Mount Everest Base Camp trek.
He has served the institution in various capacities—as a Governing Council Member, Chairman of the Founder’s Day Committee, Honorary Secretary, and Second Vice President. He has now been elected as First Vice President for the term 2025–2027.
