SHRI. G. K. Adappagoudar

President

Born in 1951, he completed his B.A. and D.M.S.A. degrees and began his professional life by actively involving himself in public service. From a young age, he was a follower of the late Hon. Shri K. H. Patil and has continued to work as an active member in all programmes of the present Minister for Tourism, Law and Parliamentary Affairs, Shri H. K. Patil.

He has served as a member of the Self-Help Group of the Hulkoti Krishi Vigyan Kendra and has worked in several rural cooperative organisations, including:

  • Gadag Co-operative Textile Mill Ltd., Hulkoti
  • Co-operative Oils Ltd.
  • Crop Development Co-operative Society
  • Regional Citizen Charter of the Regional Transport Office
He has also rendered service as a member of the Gadag and Gadag ESI Local Advisory Centres.

He has held several key positions such as:
  • Chairman, Hulkoti Co-operative Employers’ Society
  • Chairman, Hulkoti Co-operative Textile Mill Employees’ Union
  • Chairman, Hulkoti Co-operative Consumers’ Society
  • Member, Child Labour Welfare Committee
  • Member, Zonal Railway Users’ Consultative Committee (ZRUCC), serving continuously since 2007
  • Member, Dharwad District Telephone Advisory Committee
  • Governing Council Member, Gadag District Chamber of Commerce & Industry
  • Chairman, Railway Sub-Committee
Through the Rural Medical Service Society, Hulkoti, he has actively contributed to several social service activities such as blood donation camps and eye camps. He is an active member of the JCI Club and Rotary Club in Gadag.

He has also served as a member of the Development Committee of the renowned Shri Renuka Yellamma Devi Temple (Yellammagudda, Saundatti).

A long-standing member of the Karnataka Chamber of Commerce and Industry, he has served as a Governing Council Member, Chairman of the Railway Sub-Committee, and as Third Vice President. He has now assumed charge as the President for the term 2025–2027.
