Er. ASHOK R. TOLANAVAR

He has completed his graduation in Electrical Engineering from BVB College of Engineering and Technology. Hubballi, during the year 1978-79. Now, he is the partner in Tolas Electronics, Hubballi.

Started the firm Tolas Engineering Works in the year 1976, when he was still studying in engineering, to help his needy friend. He introduced many first in Hubballi in Electronics in particularly Test & measuring instruments, EPABX, industrial stablisers, UPS and Information Technology Products, etc.

Public and Social life:

• Maiden IT Sub-Committee Chairman, Karnatak Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KCCI), Hubballi.
• The Secretary, of Federation of Information Technology Dealers Association of Karnataka (FITDAK).
• Member of Grievance Committee for Federation of All India Information Technology Association (FAIITA).
• Vice President of Alumni Association, BVB College of Engg. & Tech. Hubballi.
• Charter President of Association of Information Technology Hubli-Dharwad.
• Instrumental in getting Internet service at Hubballi as early as 1997 by conducting a Seminar on “Benefits of Internet” wherein more than 500 participants participated in KCCI, Hubballi.
• Instrumental in setting up IT Park in Hubballi through KCCI.
• Past President of Rotary Club if Hubli Mid-town.

He is married to Smt. Jayashree, who is also an Engineer in Electronics & Communications and she is a partner in Tolas Electronics.

He is blessed with three daughters; Priya an Architect, Pravita, Bachelor in Information Technology & MBA from University of Illinois, USA, working for Deloitte, in Canada and Pradnya, Commerce Graduation and pursuing  CA course.
